TRICHOCENTRUM pfavii.

TOF1566
TRICHOCENTRUM pfavii.
Costa Rica, Panama.

Fabulous little species - dwarf epiphyte. Fleshy leaves - like a miniature mule-ear oncidium. Several flowers at a time, each about 1 1/4" across. Very nice color combinations - sepals and petals white or cream with brown blotches, lip white with rose-purple blotch. How to grow Trichocentrums? The literature is confusing; some say that they are rather wet-growing, while others say they are dry growing or seasonally dry. All say that the plants are better handled on a mount. However, these are nice in fresh seedling bark in small plastic pot, watered only about once a week (this is "dry culture" for us).
