| TD422 | | Chondrorhyncha caloglossa 'Natural World' Costa Rica.
| | |
| |

| | Correctly Stenotyla picta. This is really a neat plant - one of my favorites within the fan-shaped leafy species. This flowers a lot and puts on a good show (flowers emerge and can be seen, they are not hiding in the foliage. (Good to hang it up or mount it, if possible - for good display). Moderate-size species - not gigantic like some. In this cultivar, the flowers are all-yellow. | |

| TOF4062 | | Dendrobium aberrans. Eastern Papua New Guinea.
| | |
| |

Gallery | | Still one of our most popular species. Mossy intermediate forests. Miniature clumping plants produce small sprays of 1/2" interestingly shaped white flowers, which last about three weeks. Old pseudobulbs keep sending out inflorescences for many years. Can flower anytime, with an emphasis on winter. On trees in the forests of the Maboro Range (Waria District). The species grows always in colonies.' (Schlecter 1914) Very cute - a winner.

| |
| TOF4233 | | Dendrobium glomeratum x Dendrobium obtusisepalum
| | |
| |

| | Dendrobium glomeratum has been one of our top Dendrobiums over the years - you can't beat the floral displays - clusters of large, vivid lavender-red, long-lasting flowers. Vigorous too. (we have a fresh batch of that species underway in our lab right now). Here we have crossed it with the mind-blowing New Guinea species Den. obtusisepalum. The colors are different, obtusisepalum being orange and gold. Also, obtusisepalum is smaller than the other parent, so the hybrid may be more compact. Both species are pictured in the Gallery section of this website. Very interesting cross - two of our favorite species. | |

| TOF4217 | | Dendrobium stratiotes `Kathy's' x self Western New Guinea..
| | |
| |

Gallery | | A classic! Large epiphyte has short spikes which emerge along canes carrying large long-lasting white `antelope type' flowers with tall yellow multi-twisted petals. White lip is vividly striped with purple. Likes warmth and bright light.
Many of these antelope-type Dendrobiums were brought to Hawaii by Marines returning from the Pacific at the end of World War II.
`One of the most striking of the Spatulatas and a firm favorite in hybrid work' (Millar, 1999) Ms. Millar described her 1974 patrol on a trawler on the Bernsbach River in Western District, Papua. Upon finding this species for the first time in New Guinea, she said that they were euphoric about the number and size of the plants hanging over the river. `I think it was the best and happiest patrol I was ever on." | | | | 2.00" pot / Small plants | $10.00 | | | 3.50" pot | $17.00 |

| TD172 | | Dendrochilum aurantiacum. Sumatra, Java.
| | |
| |

Gallery | | Really a neat species - beautiful plants do have pseudobulbs that are kind of far apart on rhizome and like to climb. Many arching sprays of tiny orange yellow flowers. Very attractive. This is the type species for the genus.
