New small-sized vandaceous epiphyte is warm to cool growing. Many fragrant flowers on each spray, which are white, covered with red spots and with a lavender area. Attractive plant too. Very interesting -one of our best discoveries.

New species just described in July 2008. Maxillaria huntii Christenson, sp. nov. Very interesting smaller plants with terete growth and pendant habit. 1.5" flowers are borne singly on short scapes and are orange with dark maroon markings in lip. Cutting edge!
