 (Rhyncholaelia digbyana) National flower of Honduras. Epiphyte with tough-looking foliage grows in good light. Single large amazing flowers are yellow-green with prominent fringed lip. Lemon scented at night. Famous species is not so common anymore. Very limited.

Broughtonia domingensis (Laelia domingensis).

 Very pretty, the large lip dominates in both form and color. Very limited. Lip is a cheerful lilac color with yellow veins and yellow center. Seven or eight flowers are grouped at the end of long spikes. It’s epiphytic habitat in very warm coastal areas indicates that it requires a good amount of light and probably should be mounted.  (Bulbophyllum A-doribil Candy x B. annandalei) Fun hybrid has showy umbels of good-size bizarre flowers. Yellow or gold, with red striping on sepals, red dotting on lip and petals. Crazy red tassels on tips of the dorsal sepals. These start blooming at a small size.

 The mobile lip thrusts up tufts of long fine red hairs that wave and rock in the slightest breeze and give it the appearance of a living thing. "...one is really tempted to believe that there must be something of an animal nature infused into this most unplant-like production." (Lindley, 1837)
