| TOF2205 | | Hexisea imbricata. MMexico through Venezuela and Peru.
| | |
| |

| | Really colorful “miniature” species is a warm-growing lithophyte and an epiphyte. Strange growth habit as in Scaphyglottis – “stair-stepping” growths, sometimes the flattened swollen pseudobulbs emerge from the tip of previous pseudobulbs. Several showy ¾” flowers are red-orange with a spot of yellow on the lip. “On large rock by edge of light woodland near Canaracuni Mission, Upper Cauca River, about 1000 ft.” (from Venezuela Orchids Illustrated) | |

| TOF1850 | | LAELIA perrinii 'YAGI STRAIN'. Brazil.
| | |
| |

Gallery | | Beautiful variety was almost lost when Mr. Ralph Yagi passed away several years ago. The plant was later found, bone-dry, in a cupboard under a sink, where it had apparently been "stashed" by someone. Large flower size, superior form and presentation, and dark colors (pink -mauve and amethyst) make this very desirable. New batch growing good. | |
